As it may not be clear from my blog, I work as a quant. As Ryan Gosling puts it, that is short for quantitative. And you can qualify that into a quant researcher, a quant trader or a quant developer. We're looking for a quant HR, feel free to contact me about that. My colleagues and I, we trade financial instruments and use a bit of math and a bit of software engineering along the way. We don't have a large team, nor do we have customers.

We are the literal embodiment of scholars locked far away in a tower doing arcane stuff with minimal bearing to reality. But the companies that we talk about, every day, are real companies. They make real things and our lives intersect. In a surreal twist, this excites us.

This is a public-private photo album of products we trade found in the wild, and a little blurb about them. You ask why? Because this is art.
